All along the hop, you’ll see inspiration from the Odd Girls and the Ruby Rock-it Creative Team, and all you have to do to be eligible to win one of the two prizes is leave a comment at each stop along the hop.

I had so much fun playing with all the YUMMY paper from Ruby Rock-It. That I could not control myself and made more than one project.  Tune in later this week for project number two.
I really wanted to showcase the paper, and what better way than to alter a globe and turn into a beautiful piece of home decor.  I also matched it up with Some Odd Girl's NEW Daisies cut files.  I also used the digi sentiment "Mantra Pack".

Pretty Little suitcase

I was recently at a crop and once again a certain somebody was at it again creating something uber cute.   Colleen always makes me loose sleep wondering about her adorable projects.  This time I was not going to loose sleep.  I begged and pleaded that she just had to make me a suitcase in pink of course, before the day was done.  Well...Colleen. I am still waiting for my suitcase! :)  LOL  Actually, I couldn't wait.  I know you had a trying week so I will let it go....this time. :)   I didn't want to bug her either with instructions so I turned to my best friend, my side kick...the Cameo! :)  Colleen buys the patterns and cuts them by hand!! Can you imagine!  This day and age! Cutting a pattern when you have a Cameo to do it for you in less than 5 minutes.  Unheard of! :)   Sorry..I could not resist.  Too funny. :)

I bought the purse cut file at the Silhouette store.  The cute little character is digi stamp 1920's Gwen from the Some Odd Girl shop.  I colored her with my Copics.  I also tried my hand at Kristy's video tutorial on giving her a vintage soft look.  I think she turned out vintage looking. :)   I also wanted to use the NEW Daisies cut files from the Some Odd Girl Shop.  Super cute!  I just traced the shapes in the Silhouette program and then cut them.  To create the whole flower I traced and right click to release the path.  I then just deleted the cuts within the flower, so I would have a solid flower.  I was able to get two flowers from one cut. Perfect for creating layers.  Love Kristy's new cut files!

Stay tuned for some more cute projects featuring cute little characters from the Some Odd Girl Shop.

Mr.Octopus Slider card

I love creating cards that are interactive. This month I got to play with Some Odd Girl May clear stamp Mr. Octopus, such a cutie!  Mr. Octopus inspired me to create this super fun slider card.  It's a great card for when you give a cash gift. :)  I colored him up with my Copic markers and used Opaque white for extra detail.  I used sequins from the Odds & Ends shop  for bubbles and for the gold coins in the treasure box.  The Sequins makes for some great bling! :)   The twine to attach the anchor is Green Bamboo Twine that you can also find in the Odds & Ends shop.  Finally the elements in the card are from the Silhouette store that I cut using the cameo. :) Love my cameo!
Makes crafting a whole lot easier. :)

Always Going To Be there...

Had fun in the studio working on Swings and Slides Wagon digi stamp from Little Miss Muffet Stamps the last couple of days.  When I saw this stamp I thought two things.  A book bag (future project) and an easel card.  I don't make cards often, I feel I get stuck on deciding what papers to use LOL .  I guess that is why I enjoy mix media in my cards and projects, its anything goes.  I can have several different kinds and there is no real order.  However, I do very much enjoy making cards.  I just wish I could make them more often. :)

On to my card. :)
I colored these adorable characters with my Copics.  If you keep reading you will see the Copic recipes I used.  This was also my first time creating grass with Copics. I was scared, not even kidding. I am a perfectionist so it was important that I got it right. :) I took a deep breath, I didn't think about it.  I just dove right in! I will be honest and say that at first it did not look so hot, I was actually a bit worried LOL.  I reminded myself that this is layers work and it will take time, so take your time. I admit the grass was fun! I very much enjoyed making the grass, its as much fun as scribbling.  I'm very serious. :)

The sentiment I thought was fitting since big sister is pulling baby brother.  At least that is what I think the story is. :)  She will always be there to help! :)  The butterfly is a brad.  I wanted to keep this simple, but it needed the butterfly.  I hope you like my card and that you will come back and watch my progress as I dabble more into Little Miss Muffet Stamps, especially the Polka dot Pals.  They are great challenge when coloring their faces! :)

Hello Summer with Beachy Mae from Some Odd girl

Hi everyone,
Day Two of Some Odd Girl clear stamp May releases! :)  Beachy Mae is making her debut today, and she is gorgeous!   She is done with winter and past spring.  Bring on the summer! :)

I designed a window card for Beachy Mae and her pal the seagull.  You know how much I like to use the popup effect, so I layered some sea shells on the sandy beach, and I used dimensionals to make the sentiment popup.  I also could not resist using the yummy sequins from the Odds & Ends Shop. Love them!

Don't forget to link up your creations at the Some Odd Girl Blog linky party!

Have you read what Mr. Some Odd Girl had to say about backing up your files? I'm on it! Don't know what I would do if I lost all my digis.

Lots of hugs from Some Odd Girls Mr.Octopus! :)

Hi everyone and welcome to the first day of May clear stamp set release at Some Odd Girl!
Today Mr. Octopus is making his debut at Some Odd Girl.  He is such a cutie!

I had a lot of fun creating with this clear stamp set.  In fact it was so inspiring I made  a few more projects than I needed to.  That’s okay, because now I have more to share with you this week. :)  My first project was getting creatively messy with ink.  I really wanted to create a textured underwater look for Mr.Octopus. I think I succeeded. :)
Hop on over to the Some Odd Girl Blog for Movie Monday, where I show you how you can create this vivid textured background as a backdrop for your Mr.Octopus.  It is so much fun to make!

New challenge is now underway at the Some Odd Girl Facebook group, and don't forget to link up your creations to the linky party on the Some Odd Girl blog! :)
